Tell us about your family.
I am the youngest of two but have a rapidly expanding family. I am very excited to be starting my own family next summer when my fiancé, Hannah, and I get married.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on the south side of Indianapolis in Perry Township and am a graduate of Perry Meridian High School.
Where are you currently going to school and what are you studying?
I am a student at the University of Indianapolis. Official to my transcript, I am majoring in Religion with concentrations in Youth Ministry, Pre-Theology, and Ancient Greek with a minor in Psychology but I usually just say that I’m a Youth Ministry major to make things easier.
What are you most looking forward to at Zionsville UMC?
I am looking forward to connecting with families at Zionsville UMC and seeing students grow in their faith and passions in life.
Who is your favorite musician?
Although I am a lover of many musical genres, artists, and composers, I will always have a soft spot for Bon Iver.
What is your best vacation memory?
When I was about ten years old, my family visited Jamaica, and upon arriving, I realized that I didn’t pack any of my clothes. It’s not necessarily a favorite memory, but it’s most prevalent in my mind because, to this day, it makes me triple check whenever I pack for anything.
What do you do when you’re not at church?
When I’m not at church, I love to find recipes and cook with my fiancé. I also love bad movies and bonfires.
If I could have any superpower, I’d…
If I could have any superpower, I would choose the ability to control gravity. Imagine how far elevated simple games in children’s and youth ministry could get if all of a sudden everyone was weightless or the weight of objects constantly changed.
If I could go back in time, I’d…
If I could go back in time, I would love to see famous speeches across the history of the United States: Gettysburg, MLK’s I Have a Dream Speech, JFK’s inaugural address. I love United States history and would love to experience some of it firsthand.
