What to Expect
Perhaps you are re-engaging with church or attending church for the very first time. Maybe you are an active church-goer who just moved to Zionsville. Whatever your situation, you might have some questions before you check us out. That’s OK. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have others give us call (317) 873-2623) or send us an email.
Can I come as I am?
Yes! You’re going to find a variety of dress at ZUMC. From suits and dresses to khakis and jeans. Our desire is that you not worry about what you’re wearing…just come as you are.
Where do I park?
Parking is all around the building. Enter through the south, east, or west entrance.
Will there be someone to help me find my way?
Of course, our ConnectionZ volunteers are wearing lanyards. They can answer questions and guide you to any area of our church.
What are your worship times and styles?
We have a contemporary service at 9:30am on Sunday mornings as well as a traditional service at 10:45am.
Will I be embarrassed?
Absolutely NOT! We’re not going to ask you to stand up while we sit down. We’re not going to ask you to sit down while we stand up. We’re not going to ask you to raise your hand. All we’re going to do is give you the opportunity to do what we do each week—enjoy worship and enjoy each other.
Are there activities for my kids?
We love kids. You will see that we have classes and activities for young people of all ages. Check out ZUMKidz for all that's going on with kids at ZUMC.
What about my teenagers?
For youth in 7th-12th grade, we have Sunday night Youth Group (dinner, large group games/activities, worship, a short message, and small groups for each grade level), mission trips, confirmation for 7th graders, Wednesday night Bible study, and fun events throughout the year. Check out ZYouth for all that's going on with youth at ZUMC.
Do you have adult education?
Our Sunday classes meet during both the 9:30am and 10:45am services. You can find more information about Sunday morning classes for adults here.
What if I don’t hear well?
We have assisted hearing devices available on Sunday mornings. Just ask the usher as he or she hands you a bulletin.
