Perhaps you are re-engaging with church or attending church for the very first time. Maybe you are an active church-goer who just moved to Zionsville. Whatever your situation, you might have some questions before you check us out. That’s OK. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have others give us call (317) 873-2623) or send us an email.
We have a contemporary service at 9:30am on Sunday mornings as well as a traditional service at 10:45am. During the months of July and August 2019, the second service will meet at 11:00am instead of 10:45am. We plan on making the most of a 60-minute service. So, arrive a few minutes early, grab a cup of free coffee on the ledges in the front hallway, and find your seat. At the end of service, if you’re a visitor, we’d love for you to stop by the welcome center for a free gift.
Where Do I Go?
Parking is conveniently located all around the building. If you have children, you may want to enter through the West Entrance as this closest to our ZUMKidz check-in area. If you could use a shorter walk into the main lobby, please feel free to use the front driveway to drop off your passengers. A limited amount of parking spaces are available on the circle drive at the front of the building.
Whether you enter the building from the east or west entrance, the main lobby and sanctuary are in the very center of the building. Head down the front hallway and you’ll be in the lobby in no time. Bathrooms are also located in the front hallway.
What About My Children?
We love kids and provide several options for them on a Sunday morning! Your children can join you in worship. Some children might have a hard time paying attention. We find that an activity can sometimes help children concentrate. You will find activity pages at the back of the sanctuary. If your child needs a break during the service and you’d like to move to the lobby, you will find a family resource area with toys, chairs, couches, and a large screen TV with the live stream of the service.
If you are a nursing mother and need to nurse while you’re with us, you will find a nursing room off of the lobby as well. This room has comfortable chairs and a couch, easy access to the women’s restroom, and a large screen TV with the live stream of the service.
If you’d like your children to join in one of our ZUMKidz classes, you can check-in at the welcome center at the west entrance and they’ll make sure you find the age-appropriate classes that fit your children. Nursery and toddler care, staffed by trained volunteers, for children ages 0-3 is also available. Volunteers at the west entrance welcome center can show you where these rooms are.
For youth in 7th-12th grade, we have Sunday night Youth Group (dinner, large group games/activities, worship, a short message, and small groups for each grade level), mission trips, confirmation for 7th graders, and fun events throughout the year. Check out ZYouth for all that's going on with youth at ZUMC.
What Should I Wear?
You’re going to find a variety of dress at ZUMC - everything from suits and dresses to khakis and jeans. Our desire is that you not worry about what you’re wearing…just come as you are.
Live Stream Available
All our Sunday services are live streamed. So, if you can’t make it to the building, for whatever reason, click the link below and you’ll be able to watch our services from your preferred device from wherever you find yourself on Sunday morning.
