Hello!  I have been Chancel Choir Director at ZUMC for 8 years.  Although I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, my family has had roots in Indianapolis since the early 1900's.  I have lived in Indianapolis since I was 2 and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My connection to ZUMC goes beyond when my family began attending.  My piano teacher of 10 years was, at one time, the choir director of ZUMC!  I feel as if I have come full circle.

After studying piano for 12 years and oboe for 3 years, I attended Indiana University School of Music and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.  I have performed with the Faust Symposium, Indianapolis Opera Company,  Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, Players and Footlight,  in addition to performing as a soloist at Tabernacle Presbyterian, St. Luke's Methodist, and Trinity Episcopal.  I have also enjoyed singing around Indianapolis for various events including weddings and funerals.   I have taught private voice and piano for 25 years and have taught general music and directed choir at Sycamore School for 8 years.

My husband Brad and I have been married for almost 26 years and have 3 children:  Erik (23), Heidi (21) and Kirstin (21).  I learn something new all the time from my choir and enjoy doing what I do more than I can put into words.  Please feel free to come up to see me after the service, or call or email me.  But beware!  I'll have you singing in the choir before you can say do-re-mi!!
