The Language of Prayer Final.png

Many times when we start a new year, we make a list of all the things we are NOT going to do anymore. We are not going to eat until we are uncomfortable. We are not going to spend money we don’t have. We are not going to sacrifice family for work. Those are all good resolutions. But, what if, instead of just kicking old habits, we begin a new habit in its place?

The Pew Research Center reports that over half of Americans (55%) pray on a daily basis. Yet, less than half that amount report a sense of satisfaction in their prayer life. When it comes to prayer, most of us are not sure we are doing the right thing, and we are not consistent in our habits.

Join us throughout the months of January and February, as we explore different ways of talking with God. Each week we’ll explore a different word at the heart of prayer:

  • Jan 6: Begin

  • Jan 13: Mystery

  • Jan 20: Please

  • Jan 27: Sorry

  • Feb 3: Thanks

  • Feb 10: ….

  • Feb 17: Yes!

  • Feb 24: Why?

  • Mar 3: Again
