December 6 & 7—Journey to Bethlehem
Travel back to the very first Christmas.Beginning on Sat., Dec. 6 and continuing on Sun., Dec. 7 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. both nights.The 20-minute tours of Bethlehem will depart from the ZUMC sanctuary and continue throughout the evening.This is a gift from Zionsville United Methodist Church to all! There is no admission fee for this event.

Clydesdale comes their latest children's Christmas musical, Miracle on Main Street, The Little Pageant That Wouldn't Give Up! An engaging script and upbeat blend of new songs with traditional carols chronicle the dilemma of a group of children who want to celebrate Christmas in public, but face opposition from the politically correct local townsfolk. Despite the challenges, the children stand up for their beliefs and joyfully proclaim their faith.

December 20—The Longest Night service at 5:30 p.m. a Service of light in the midst of darkness: In the Bradley Chapel of ZUMC at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 marks the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. Moving toward darkness can be frightening and depressing. Advent reminds us that in the very midst of darkness God’s promise shines most brightly. Worship will include a time for acknowledging our darkness, and ultimately celebrating the Light of the World who comes to banish our pain. If you or someone you know would benefit from this kind of service, please invite them to come with you. “Weeping may remain for a night, but joy comes in the morning” Psalms 30:5

December 21, 22, 23—Nativity Walk
~ A personal & interactive experience to contemplate the miracle and joy of Christmas ~
December 21 * 6 pm – 9 pm
December 22 & 23 * Noon – 9 pm

Travel at your own pace to eleven different stations that highlight a specific event surrounding the birth of our Savior that will engage your senses, emotions, thoughts and beliefs of Christmas. You will be challenged, inspired and invited to respond. Approximate travel time is 45 minutes. This experience begins in the Chapel and is open to everyone. (Please note: reading is required.)

UMC Phone Cards still Popular Mission Project: The people of The United Methodist Church have donated more than 13 million minutes of conversations with loved ones to U.S. servicemen and servicewomen serving overseas by providing phone cards so they can phone home especially during the holidays. One 120-minute card costs $4.95 and 15 orders for 5,000 cards have been placed since the program began. To contribute to the phone card program, send checks payable to: United Methodist Endorsing Agency, (UMEA), General Board of Higher Education and Ministry, PO Box 340007, Nashville, TN 37203-0007.

Important:Congregational Input Needed: The Blue Ribbon Committee (a group designed to look at capital debt reduction giving) would like to invite you to discuss and provide feedback as to the ongoing strategy for capital debt reduction/elimination. Your important feedback will be integrated into a final presentation given to the Administrative Board as to the committee’s recommendation for building debt reduction. The committee looks forward to your questions and feedback on December 7, at the 10:10 hour on this very important topic.

Zionsville United Methodist Church presents Journey to Bethlehem—A walk through the scenes of the very first Christmas. Continuous tours depart from the sanctuary from 5—7:30 PM on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7. This is ZUMC’s gift to the church family and the community. Bring your family, your friends, and your neighbors! Admission is free. Come prepare your hearts for the celebration.

Join us at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 5 for the ROUTE 56 Christmas party! We’ll be wrapping gifts for families in need as well as enjoying some fun and great snacks! Bring your friends!

ZUM Zone Christmas Around the World on Nov. 30! This Advent and Christmas season, Zum Zone would like to present Christmas Around the World during the 10:10 a.m. Hour on November 30th. Children will experience Christmas customs from around the world. The main idea is that God sent Jesus into the world to bring peace to all people and all nations. Today, Christians from all over the world prepare for and celebrate the birth of God’s Son, Jesus.
In order for this program to be successful, we need additional volunteers to act as shepherds. They will lead the children to two stations each week. These stations include Story, art, cooking, games and science. Please sign up at the table outside of the café. If you have any questions, call Yolanda Hutton at 873-2623.

New Men’s Group “The Huddle”
What is "The Huddle"? It's a new group formed only for men. We'll discuss events and ideas that appeal to men. Come join us starting November 16 during the "O" hour and see where this free form class will take us. If you are interested in being more in whatever way, this group will help you. You'll find friends and ideas. You've not been to something like this.

Are you interested in spending deliberate time with the Lord who dwells at the center of your being? Would you like to learn about meditative prayer? Are you open to exploring methods to give yourself completely to God within you, so that you may draw upon His strength and love? Come join a new CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER GROUP. On November 9th and 16th, the missions team will be selling cookbooks from the church in Girdwood, Alaska.100% of the proceeds will go to their building fund.This will enable for supplies to be purchased for use of the work team this summer.The cookbooks are $25 and if you are paying by check, please make it out to ZUMC, with "Alaska" in the memo.Thank you for your support.

in Bradley Chapel. You will travel to prayer stations at your own pace and interact with God through different activities and meditations. Desserts & Fellowship immediately following in the Cafe.
