Hope Lives News!

Embark on a five-week exploration of poverty that will inspire a new way to interact with the world. Once you begin this journey of hope, you will see the world through clear eyes and a restored heart.Adult Sunday School classes will be held all five Sundays in May during the Opportunity Hour at 10:10AM. These classes will be led by Pastors John Wantz and Scott Tyring. All ages of our children will be studying the Hope Lives curriculum as we teach aboutcompassion and responding to the poor. Follow-up class for adults will be offered each Thursday evening in May, from 7-8 PM for those who want to dig deeper into the Hope Lives book, discussion and reflection. "Each morning, I browse through the news, and the stories I read make it hard to believe in hope," says author of Hope Lives, Van Schooneveld. "But hope is still very much alive. It's not a journey of guilt or obligation. It's a journey of God's grace restoring us to the people He created us to be, and a journey of serving God to bring His grace and love to those in need."will also be having small groups that will meet throughout the week. These groups will view DVD and have discussion. So, if you cannot make the O hour be sure to sign up for one of the small groups. Sign ups for the Thursday discussion and the small groups will beApril 5 through April 26.

The Quest

Finding Faith to Calm the Storms of Life. Beginning in April, Dave and Phyllis Quick will lead a study entitled “The Quest – Finding Faith to Calm the Storms of Life.”
During this 10 week study, discover why faith is so important and that faith is not works; faith is not special ability; faith is not a feeling; faith is not a magic wand.Instead, faith is a decision to believe God; faith is a focusing on the promise – not the problem; faith is trusting the Word of God; faith is life.

Palm Sunday Praise Kids Moment - April 5th

We would like children to participate in a palm processional during both services on Sunday, April 5th. If you attend the 9:00 a.m. Service, please have your child pick up their palms before entering the sanctuary. If you attend the 11:15 a.m. Service, children will receive their palms and wait in the narthex for the entry procession. Following the processional, children will be released to Praise Kids. Although this is usually a Sunday where children remain in the Sanctuary, we will have a special Praise Kids Moment where they will learn to make crosses out of the palm branches. Children will return to the sanctuary at the start of Communion. Volunteers for crowd control are greatly appreciated. Please call Yolanda Hutton at 873-2623.
