ZUMC has partnered with the Indianapolis Interfaith Hospitality Network and a cluster of churches across the Indianapolis area to provide temporary shelter, meals and supportive assistance to homeless families.
The typical family served is a single mother with two children. Our team provides 2 meals a day during their week at ZUMC plus supervision, transportation and hospitality. It takes nearly 60 volunteers to welcome these families and give them assistance in creating a solid future. If you would like to become a part of the team, contact Suzy Herring (317-873-5505).
