Hey! Thanks for checking out the Zionsville community of United Methodists. United Methodists have a long tradition within Christianity going back to the 18th century during the English Revival under a Church of England (Anglican) clergyman named John Wesley. But my history goes back to a small country church in Buckskin, Indiana. I studied the scriptures from a young age and still reap great benefit from spending time with God reading the bible. But I haven’t always been a “bible thumper.”  I am also a product of 1960’s-1970’s rock ‘n’ roll. I still head bang. I picked up guitar at Rose-Hulman engineering school learning chords when I should’ve learned calculus. My wife, Michele and I have been married since 1986 and have three grown children, Amanda (’88), Erika (’90) and Anthony “AJ” (’94). We love music, movies and spending time together with friends. I eat regularly at restaurants around the village and Traders Point.

You will find ZUMC to be a place where you can sit quietly and enjoy the great worship experiences either with a beat or with an organ, suit or shorts and sandals. All that matters is that you are there to give God the praise and honor deserving on One who loves you without condition. But you can also build your faith through classes and coaching, something I direct at ZUMC. I also work with mission teams sharing God’s love through serving the needs of others.

My chief passion is to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus and come to experience the abundant life He gives to all who live in Him.
