At ZUMC, the Mens' Ministry is a fairly casual group of men and we invite you to come join us just as you are. No pre-requisites or stuffiness found here. We're just men looking to become better at being the man God wants us to be. The Mens' Ministry is committed to building Godly men and we do so through four types of activities: Fun, Help, Learn and Pray.
Fun - doing things that allow us to enjoy the world God made for us.
Help - share our expertise, talents and gifts in ways to benefit others.
Learn - getting to know God more closely.
Pray - communicating with God.
Programs currently offered just for men include:
The Huddle - meets every Sunday between services, come join us as often as you can.
Breakfast Series - usually the first Saturday every other month, we'll get together, have an amazing, home-cooked, hearty breakfast and listen to a guest speaker.
Movie Night - 5 - 6 times per year, we'll visit a local eatery, have dinner followed by a though-provoking,relevant movie and discuss its implications to our lives and faith.
Mens' Weekend - each November we take a weekend to re-energize our bodies, minds and faith while building and growing friendships. Topics and speakers vary each year.
Mission Trips- local and national opportunities to serve those in need including building water purifiers, assisting Habitat for Humanity, aiding disaster stricken areas and more.
Good News Runners - for those who like to run, this early Saturday morning time is good for the body and the mind.
Small Groups/Accountability Groups - more opportunities to share learn and pray.
Sports - indoor and outdoor depending on the season, you're welcome to join us for the sport you like to play most (or, engage everyone in a sport of your choice).

The SAM group embraces their 50+ age and comes together for food, fellowship and other various events two times a month. Come join in the fun that can be heard in the halls of ZUMC when they get together!

CONGREGATIONAL CARE TEAM (CCT)
This ministry has been created to extend acts of care and compassion to those in our church and community. We wish to provide care and encouragement to all in our church family who need a gentle touch.
This care may come in the form of a note, call, hospital/ home visit, meal or prayer. The CCT family is dedicated to offering genuine care to all in our church that are in the season of need.

It is privilege to pray with and for people in the body of Christ. Our prayer ministry is a community given to prayer over the needs and requests of people in our community. MUSIC MINISTRY
Chancel Choir - leads at the 10:45 worship and in special services throughout the year. Singing a wide range of music from classical to hymns to urban gospel.
We are beginning a new season and we open our arms to anyone with a desire for fellowship, singing, and to be a part of a very special time in the life of our church. You do not need to know how to read music. Fellow choir members and the music staff will help. We rehearse Thursday evenings from 7:00- 8:30pm in the choir room and Sundays from 9:00-9:30 am, then we sing and worship at 10:45 am. Questions? Contact Laura Brueckmann 858-0648.
Praise Team - For those who love to sing. This team helps lead the congregational singing at our 9:30 a.m. service. Rehearsals are Sunday morning at 8:45 a.m. joins the worship leader in leading God’s people in Sunday worship at 9:30 am. This choir is open to anyone 13+ who loves to sing.
Celebration Singers - This choir sings and performs regularly for worship at ZUMC, but also takes their music ministry to area nursing homes. This mixed ensemble sings contemporary Christian music under the direction of Doug Benge. Rehearsal are 6:30 - 8:00 pm on Wednesdays in the Music Room.
The ZUMC Bell Team is starting their 2011-12 season and would love for you to join them!Our bell choir plays throughout the year for Sunday worship and special services. A full set of five-octave handbells provides opportunity for a broad range of musical expression through this talented group of musicians. Persons with no handbell experience, but wish to learn, are encouraged to check into this unique choral experience. The HandBell Choir plays various Sundays throughout the year.
The Bell Team rehearses Monday nights at 7:00-8:00pm and childcare is provided. Bells perform one Sunday a month with a few special performances here and in the community throughout the year. For more information contact Jill Congdon. There is no experience required and all are welcome to give Bells a try! Come any Monday and give Bells a try!
Singing Church Ladies - This ladies’ contemporary singing group sings and performs on various Sunday mornings throughout the year. If you like to sing, come join us for rehearsal on Wednesday nights at 5:15 pm.
STEPHEN MINISTRY
Stephen Ministries is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around our congregation. In Stephen Ministry congregations, caregivers provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. All this is done with a firm commitment to confidentiality. BLANKET MINISTRY
We have a group of women who sew and quilt blankets every Wednesday @ 7:00 pm. After praying over them, the blankets are given to anyone who is need of being wrapped in Christ’ love.
KNIT & QUILTING MINISTRY
This women’s group knit away while chatting among friends. They donate their heartfelt works to various organizations in need of hats, mittens, scarves and various other items that are helpful during the cold winter months. Thee group meets Tuesday mornings at 9:30.
STOVE TOP SHUFFLERS
Our gourmet gang meets the second and fourth Wednesdays most months from
9:00 - 11:00 a.m. The Shufflers prepare delicious meals for those who
need a helping hand for whatever reason or season in their life. They
truly have a great time and welcome any helping hand in the church
kitchen.
GARDEN MINISTRY
We have lots of land behind the church. Families and individuals are encouraged to grab their rakes and seeds and begin planting their own garden plot. Garden plots in the back of the church are waiting to be filled with your crop. Rent a 20 by 20 foot plot for only $25.
PARISH HEALTH
Our parish nurse provides blood pressure screenings on a regular basis, as well as helpful hints on a healthy lifestyle.
MORNING EXERCISE
Any and all are welcome to join this lively group. Just come on in to Bradley Chapel: Monday-Wednesday-Friday’s @ 8:30 am for low impact aerobics.
