Alaska Missions
In July of 2005 ZUMC sent its first mission work team to belp in the construction of a new church building for our sister church in Girdwood, Alaska. Hoosier born and raised, Pastor Jim Doepken and his family are missionaries to the highest unchurched state in the US. We are partners with this young, growing congregation that has outgrown their present building. This summer we had another opportunity to show our support in a tangible way.
Plans are in the works for the next mission team to go to Girdwood in the summer of ’08.
